Long Way To Go

It's nice to sit back and think about how progressive and liberal Canada is, only to be proven wrong by bigot politicians. The Canadian Alliance has a long way to go if they want to shed their image of homophobic right-wing conservatives.

It's also interesting to see how gays and lesbians have been treated in Canada, since homosexuality became no longer illegal (gotta love CBC and their timelines).

Chris,
I'm sure you caught the following excerpt from the tail-end of the article, though:
"Spencer, a U.S.-born former Baptist pastor"

Call this an unfair generalization if you must, but all U.S.-born former Baptist pastors are no good at everything.

I beg to differ! Having known Baptist pastors I can strongly say that they are great at several thing. For instance, they're great (fantastic, even!) at placing themsleves above others. They sure rock when it comes to putting me to sleep when they read those stories from that book. They also must be fairly talented when it comes to making people think they're awful horrible individuals for not welcoming the lor-rid into-ah ow-er a-heartssss-ah.
